The Do For Self Institute for Defense provides LEOSA firearms qualification services for eligible qualified and retired law enforcement officers seeking to meet the firearms qualification requirements associated with the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), commonly referred to as HR 218.

Our qualification is designed to provide a professional, structured environment where eligible officers can demonstrate their ability to safely and proficiently handle and qualify with their firearm.

What to Expect

Participants receive:

Who Is This For?

LEOSA qualification services may be appropriate for qualified retired law enforcement officers and other individuals who meet the applicable federal LEOSA eligibility requirements.

Participants are responsible for establishing their eligibility under LEOSA. Completing a firearms qualification does not itself establish eligibility for LEOSA or confer federal law-enforcement authority.

Qualification & Documentation

Successful participants receive documentation reflecting completion of the firearms qualification. Participants should retain their qualification documentation with their required law-enforcement identification and other documentation necessary to demonstrate LEOSA eligibility.
